TRAVELING CANT GET TO THE GYM HERES THE PERFECT WORKOUT

With the Thanksgiving holiday still fresh in your mind it may be a perfect excuse to pass on your workout, there’s no excuse for not working out, even if the gym is closed and you’re traveling! Working out after Thanksgiving is important, god knows you took in far too many calories and maybe lounged around a bit much. Working out while your away is easy, and I want to show you the best workout’s to do when your local gym is not available.

Let’s start out with the Jump Squat, this is where you begin in the squat position and jump up and off the floor, you want to lunge as high as possible while keeping both arms crossed and parallel with your shoulders. The jump squats are a great exercise for building your legs and if you do them fast enough can also be a terrific cardio routine. If doing these jump squats comes easy try and hold a pair of light weight dumbbells at your sides as you squat and jump, doing 10 reps and 3 sets of this exercise will burn off them extra turkey legs for sure.

Another great after thanksgiving exercise when you can’t get to the gym is the push-up. But let’s up the intensity a bit, I want you to try and do the elevated push up, al elevated push up is putting the feet on a surface such as a chair or exercise ball causing your body to be on a decline. This exercise will work the upper chest, and you should feel it immediately. Try and do 3 sets of 15 reps.

Your triceps will get a workout when you are performing the push ups, but let’s take it one step further and work the tricep muscles with 3 sets of tricep dips. By placing both of your feet and the hands up on a chair you will get the most out of this exercise because no part of the body will touch the floor. Be sure when you’re performing the tricep dip make sure you maintain an upright position with the upper body, do not lean too far forward as you are lowering yourself. Try and complete 20 to 25 dips before resting, do 3 sets.

Great job we just worked out your Legs, Chest and Triceps if you want to finish this workout off with a short run or a brisk walk you will have given your self a complete workout, and when your friends are complaining about the extra pounds they packed on over the holiday you can be proud of your self, and knowing you enjoyed your holiday and still stuck with your fitness routine. It’s never easy but it is doable.
