A New Years Resolution Diet Plan That Works
With New Years resolutions right around the corner, dieting will be in the spot light, most women swear there going to lose weight starting Jan 1, but why do most new years resolution diets fail? Is there a real diet plan that women can do, one that is easy and fast with results that last? I want to explore some dieting tips that women can follow for the entire new year, A diet plan that works.
First things first, it’s a fact that the # 1 cause of women gaining weight is inactivity. A little bit of physical activity in your life speed up your metabolism and burn your calories. One of the easiest ways to get some physical activity is to just start a plan to walk more! If your a women looking to lose weight and get fit then start walking, walk as often as your day allows. A good tip is to forget the stairs and just take the elevator, you will be amazed how much that helps.
When your at your job, and lunch time rolls around, try taking a quick walk around your building or spend your breaks walking. Walking for 30 minutes in the morning time or 30 minutes in the evening time can greatly increase your weight loss. Walking is easy and effective, don’t discount the value of daily walks, they work.
This new years forget the fad diets, there often extreme and come with a high rate of failure. Fad diet weight loss won’t last, a well balanced nutrition plan that you can stick too lasts, women need a balance of nutrition from all food sources to lose weight and keep it off.
This new years your new diet should be built around a balance of lean protein, some complex carbs, and eating more nuts and fruits when it’s time too snack, and have more vegetables with your meals. Cut out the white rice and pasta, eat more brown rice instead, add some bulgur, millet, and more buckwheat.
Think green, try and remember that green foods such as broccoli, spinach, and asparagus are healthy and great foods to build your diet around. Stop eating candy, cut down on your sugar intake, no more soda’s. Sugar that isn’t used by your body ends up being stored as fat in your body, which causes weight gain, and more diet failure. Most dairy products are loaded with saturated fat, stop drinking dairy, at least cut back on dairy products. More foods to avoid would be fatty foods, processed and fried foods, a healthy diet plan just requires some knowledge of what to eat and what to avoid.
See a nutritionist, they can explain to you what foods are bad and what foods are helpful. Often times women just don’t know or don’t realize that certain foods or drinks are wrecking there diets and hindering there weight loss goals.
Speed up your metabolism by eating smaller meals, more often. If you want to lose weight this new years set and stick too a eating schedule consisting of 5 little meals every day. Eating small meals often through the day keeps you from overeating at lunch or supper time. I allways make my own low fat trail mix from raw almonds, pumpkin seeds, dried plum, and apples. It’s a great snack, tastes good and allows me to grab a hand-full and go, you can buy yours from any grocery store or health food store, there not expensive and there ussally very tasty.
And finally a new years diet should include plenty of water, drinking water can make or break your diet resolution. If you don’t drink enough water, your body will develop a pattern of storing water. This stored water retention is going to end up extra unwanted weight. Water is key to a healthy diet plan.
By adding more water to your diet, you are not only flushing out your body’s toxins, you are also teaching your body that it doesn’t have to store water. Women trying to lose weight should be drinking at least 8 glasses a day. Try boiling water and adding some sliced lemons, it tastes alot better that way, and then you’ll grow to like it. Remember water is a natural appetite suppressant. Water is a dieting women’s best friend.
