In the dark about losing weight?

I eat right, I workout, but still can’t lose any weight, have you said this, because I hear it all the time, what most women who seeking fast weight loss fail to truly understand is that they have to work very hard if they want to change the shape of their body. Sometimes we may think were working hard but maybe you’ve cheated along the way. Real weight loss requires a balance of medium to high intensity cardio exercise along with good strength training workouts.

If your ever going to lose weight, you need to workout for at least five days a week at 60-70% of your heart rate for a minnimum of 30 minutes. Starting out slow and working your way up but, if you’re in good shape and have no restrictions, you must challeng yourself with harder more intense workouts, if your current fitness plan is letting you down change up and shock your system, this is the best way to burn more calories. After you’ve stopped exercising introduce interval training in order to burn calories and gain more lean muscle.

In addition to your cardiovascular workouts, women should lift weights for all there muscle groups at least two days a week. If you already are lifting weights, make sure your using enough weight with each routine that you can only complete the desired number of reps for that exercise. Let me explain this, if you’re doing 12 tricep curls, you need to lift enough weight that you can only do 12 tricep curls and not one more. Building muscle and firming up is the best way to lose weight faster.

If you’re not tracking your calories from every meal you eat each day, you may be consuming more than you thought. Foods that are High in fat and high in sugars trigger the brain’s dopamine pathway, much like cocaine does, making your body a slave to overwhelming cravings.

This new year if you’re really serious about losing weight and getting in shape, you need to get serious about you’re eating habits. This means you must keep a detailed food journal for one full week, without switching up on any of your eating habits. Be as thorough as possible, measuring when ever possible, read all the calorie and nutrient content labels on your food pkg’s and add up the calories for the entire day, do this each day. Overeating happens when we don’t even realize it, you’ll be surprised how many calories can sneak in when you’re not keeping track. Pay attention to detail, and you can lose weight this new year, I guarantee it.

Women trying to lose weight should also keep in mind that women’s metabolism drops as we get older if your not preserving your muscle mass. On average women’s Muscle mass will decline about four percent each decade from age 25 to 50. If you’re still eating the same number of calories at the age of 40 as you were at 30 your weight may go up. Shifts in a women’s metabolism can happen fast, some women gain weight by the age of 25 and may never lose it with out hard work and diet. Starting a serious exercise and weight lifting routine now will help to keep your metabolism in check.
