How Going To The Movies Is Bad For Your Diet And Health
We all love a good movie, but did you know that going to the movies can be bad for your health and cause your diet to derail faster than a Tom Cruise flick.
All women need a little bit of sugar along with some fat in our daily diets, but no one needs too much of either, too much fat and sugar will lead to weight gain and increases the risk of diseases such heart disease, cause high blood pressure, and could even cause diabetes and a host of other major health concerns.
If you’re looking to lose weight and get in shape for the new year, there are plenty of foods that you can eat that won’t let that happen for you, eat these foods and you’ll have little to no diet success. Some of the worst food and drinks to consume at the movies when dieting include…
Popcorn , I know the urge to snack on something when your at the movies is hard to resist but According to a Cornell College study, when people went to the movies and were served stale popcorn in large tubs, they ate 34 % more than those given the same stale popcorn in medium sized tubs. Fresh popcorn in large tubs resulted in people eating 45 % more than those given fresh popcorn in medium sized tubs. A medium box of movie theater popcorn with no butter has a 950 calories, little to no fat, and zero cholesterol. And a large Ol bucket of popcorn served with butter has 1,250 calories and 77 grams of fat, 48 of them fats are saturated, that’s more than you should ever eat in two whole days. Popcorn is a no! no!, and if you do indulge in it at your next Brad Pitt flick get a small with no butter. And NO SODA!!!
A study done at the Purdue University just showed that soda drinkers, consume 17 % more calories everyday than none soda drinkers. Soda is loaded with sugar too. Drinking Soda can lead to osteoporosis, fat, rotten teeth and even heart disease. Diet soda is no better they contribute to tooth decay as the carbonation in the sodas are acidic and rot your tooth enamel. Water is the best drinks to consume at the movies. Think of this, a medium popcorn and Coke, is roughly 1,200 calories, not good, when most think there eating a healthy snack, there really causing there diets to tailspin and there health to suffer. And NO CANDY BARS!!!
And another movie theater no-no is candy bars (hard candy, even mints and gum are no good). A candy bar is made up completely of sugar. Am increased risk of tooth decay is seen when one eats foods that contain carbs and sugars, foods like cookies, snack cakes, honey, hard candy, and even once thought to be healthy, raisins. Candy bars at the movies should be replaced with healthy granola bar snacks there just as sweet and just as tasty, with out all the sugar.
